Evil Prince? Part One
The first time I saw him I thought he looked like aprince. Not that he is handsome or anything, it just the way he lifts his chin. As if he's regal. It's in his walk too. I just can't quite describe him. The first time I saw him, I was in the front of a room and he was in the back of the room. I was able to watch im openly for he could not see me. he wandered around until the teacher came and then he leaned against a weight machine and listened. When the teacher left, so did he. He did not linger. I watched him with intrest in later classes but he didn't do anything out of the ordinary. One day, when I waited for the bus, I saw him walk right by me. I followed him with my eyes as he crossed the street, I analyzed his walk. He really does look like a prince. An evil prince maybe. He stood by the sign and apparently waiting for a ride. I didn't wish anyone to see me watching him so I continued studying. When I looked up, he was gone. Days later, as I waited for my mother to come and give me a ride home, I saw him in the same place, waiting. A red mazda pick-up truck came along and I saw him get into the passenger seat. On the day for the first test, he didn't come. I wondered where he could be and why he was not there did he know that he was losing nearly a third of his grade by not taking the test? As I left the locker room after class was over I saw that I needed more quarters so I could get on the bus. I take out a dollar and climb the stairs to the top floor of the student center. At the back of the arcade is a machine that gives you quarters for your dollars. I couldn't believe my eyes. There he was, sitting cooly in the middle of the arcade. The machine wasn't working. I didn't want to panic. How could I get more quaters? I walked up to him and asked him if he had any. He chuckled a little and said so "no." I said thanks anyway as I remebered the vending machines downstairs. I hurried to get change from that source. That was the last time I saw him
